Looks like I’ve done exactly what I was afraid of: engage in a COMPLETE disregard of this blog. Total bullshit, and trust me, I’m disappointed in my (lack of) actions.

I have no decent excuses as to why I’ve neglected my duties. Trying to keep myself from being spied on by loser ex-girlfriends may or may not have a lot to do with it.

To get back into the swing of things, here are a few songs:

My friend from work, Mark, graciously “lent” me this record from which I’m now “lending” you. I’ve been pillaging his collection of old soul and rocksteady records without his knowledge..Let’s keep that between just you & I.

The song is by Sam Cooke, whose name you’re probably familiar with, but you may not realize how many truly righteous songs you’ve heard, that were originally his. Here’s one I’m pretty siked on:

The other song I’ll be sharing is by The Animals. I’ve lately found myself with a few (to varying degrees) “crushes.” Call it insecurity, call it a projection of how I protect myself, I tend to  think girls assume I’m some scumbag motherfucker who’s only trying to get some ass. Pardon my French.

This song reflects the vulnerabilities of putting yourself out there, despite exterior assumptions. Just listen to the song, I feel completely non-sensible when it comes to feelings. Shocker.
