so good…
Posted under comedy, music, punk by patrick
just got back from another harm’s way tour. coming back is always melancholy. i’m happy to be back where i can lay around on my couch, play xbox, hang with the lady friend, etc., but being on the road is a pretty remarkable experience. here are a few things i learned:
- peanut butter and gumballs is a good combo
- philly and baltimore leave a lot to be desired
- however, philly cheesesteak is fucking delicious
- united blood 2010 was a real good time.
- waking up extra early for a fantasy baseball draft the morning after we got back is incredibly painful, and questionably worth-while since my lineup is pretty weak.
i can’t tell if i’m getting sick, or just exhausted. here are a few pics:
i love the original Commodores version, but i think this one is better..
after all this procrastination, what can i say to make it up to my throngs of fans? JACK SHIT. i’ve let you down, but most importantly, i’ve let myself down. some day, maybe i can forgive myself.
- i watched this documentary a few weeks ago. it’s one of the best doc’s i’ve ever seen. i might try to re-watch it this weekend…you can stream the whole thing here, thanks to Mr. Google.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4588130164726662077- this one chick, she really rules. (i had to put this as bullet-point #2, so she doesn’t get a more inflated self-esteem. but really, she rules.
- a few months ago, i did another tour with Harm’s Way. it was really great to experience some of this magnificent country that i had never had the opportunity to see. USA! USA! (also, Harm’s Way has a new 7″ coming out that fucking RIPS. i realize that’s a very “California circa-1987″ sort of thing to say, but really. it’s totally bitchin’ )
- dexter season 4 was fucked up. like, GOOD fucked up. TRINITY-KILLER, HOLY SHIT.
- i’ve recently remembered how much i love E-Town Concrete (especially the album The Second Coming). in high school, that record was on serious rotation.
E-Town Concrete – Stranglehold
- also, surprisingly found myself a fan of Elliott Smith recently. kinda weird that i like this sad-bastard music, but it works
- i can’t wait for the spring. beyond ready for some bike riding and cubs-watchin
- the new PIECE BY PIECE record is a little disappointing
- i miss conan o’brien
